Rice haha right buddy... i wish you would re-read what you just posted.... and your right Ignorance truly must be bliss..... The vette is known for its over all low refinement and its brute power.... the car feels like a truck in side is fitted with some truck parts actualy.. with cheap plastice and low quality material i could see why you would be so fond of it..
And for 50k plus for a nice model you can't think of any other cars that can compete with it ? Come on..
Sorry your having a bad day but to call some one a ricer for disliking a car is a little on the extreme side.

eh.. stock Exige no quite what I thought.. the K20R motors in them make the comparable but thats not really stock.. since they use the Toyota motor.. oh well.. and the Sport Exige is probably too pricey to use as "within price range"
I just fricking can't believe there are still retards out there that don't at least respect the Vette for what it is: a world-class sports car and probably one of the best overall sports car values on the planet.
I can understand one's personal opinion that they do not prefer or even like the new Vette, but to call it 'TRASH' is just flat ignorant. That type of person I would categorize as a 'retarded, biased, stereotypical riceboy.'
For the rest of you, I have driven a stock C6, a head/cam C6, an LPE 403 C6, and a new C6 Z06. Additionally, I owned a modified 2001 C5 Corvette for 4.5 years. I now am doing a 3 year lease on an '05 S2000.
In summary, I feel well qualified to discuss the benefits and disadvantages between the S2000 and Corvettes.
Acceleration: Vette
Refinement: Vette
Absolute handling ability: Vette
Tossability: S2000
Turn-in feel: S2000
Overall fun to drive factor on the street: S2000
Overall fun to drive factor on a road course: Vette
Regarding durability and quality, a Vette is much more advanced and has a lot of electronics. So, there is a higher liklihood that little niggling issues will pop up every now and then. My '01 Vette was extraordinarily reliable and went to the dealership 3 or 4 times in the 4 years I owned it for very little issues: oil temp. sensor went out, clutch pedal sticking a little bit, hatch not aligned....that's about it. All of those issues were resolved easily within a day.
Otherwise, I would really have to say it's a wash overall in the durability and quality areas. My S2000 is a blast to drive, but I also very much like driving my friend's C6's, especially the Ligenfelter 403 C6 and the new Z06. It's in a whole different world of performance.
Those that think the Vettes are 'trash' please go drive a new one and get back to us.
KAY, in an earlier post you said:
I can't read your retarded typing, but I think you were trying to tell people that you have driven about a dozen new Z06's and you don't think they are worth the money. Is that right?
You have got to be freaking kidding me if you think ANYONE will believe that you've driven a DOZEN different C6 Z06's. What a joke. You're stupid AND you're a liar.

Like I said man... everybody has their opinion. I have a pure hatred for Mercedes Benz... its just a personal preference. This guy might have that same passion for GM. Not everybody is going to respect a car for what it is. Hell, you've seen me post about how I don't like American quality, but I still have a profound respect for what the c6 has accomplished and its the best bang for buck out there in that price range. I think your arguments would be held with more validity if you weren't calling people retards or stupid. You have posted some valid points before, but they get over shadowed by attacking the person for their opinion. Now I honestly think there are tons of retarded people posting all the time on the board.. I don't disagree with that. You just have to try to be more tactful. It seems like a lot of your posts turn into huge arguments with people. Have a

There is a difference between an opinion and a blanket unsubstantiated statement of fact.
Like I said, I respect people's opinions, even if they differ from mine. That is why there are so many choices in this world.
Calling Vette's 'trash' or calling all American cars 'trash' is not an opinion, it's a blanket unsubstantiated statement of fact that is, in fact, a fallacy or lie.
An opinion could be the following:
"I like S2000's more than Vettes."
"I generally prefer foreign cars over domestics."
"I do not like the driving feel or scary power of a Vette."
A blanket unsubstantiated statement of fact could be the following:
"Vettes are trash."
"All American cars are crap."
"All foreign cars are slow and boring."
Do you see the difference?
One shows an opinion, the other shows ignorance and stupidity.
As I continue to quote, "If the shoe fits, wear it." Those that are offended by my calling people 'stupid' or 'retarded' should take a long look at themselves in the mirror and ask themselves, "Do I fit in that category?" If not, then move on with life. If you do fit in that category, please quit spending so much time on the internet and go back to school or buy those 'Hooked on Phonics' CDs and invest in your future.
First. It is very hard for people to respect any point of view coming out of you acting the way you do. This is why everyone constantly disregards what you have to say.
Also if you ACTUALLY read through the whole post you would have seen that I had never said I did not respect the vette. Again if you actually read through this whole post before bashing people.... I stated later that it was not a dozen new ZO6's that I had drive but over a dozen different vettes. This letting me draw my conclusion that I do not think they are worth there price tag. Yes they are fast and yes they handle well. But I feel with a big enough motor and big enough tires even a basic chassie can reach these goals.
An for my blanket statement I do feel that vettes are trash.. I never said all American cars..... Until they prove me wrong I will keep this stereo type. As it would be ignorant to not think that after sampling 12 different vehicles from the same manufacturer on 12 different would not be sufficient information to draw my conclusion.
So you jumping down my throat just because you enjoy them is just as silly as me doing the same for thing to you for not shopping a certain clothing store because you diss like the way they make there clothes.
I also am sorry for typing in such a rush as I have a very very busy schedule being a broker and I try to squeeze in some s2ki time during the say... I just assumed you would get the gist of the point I was trying to get across.

Err.... ok. The Vette's in a faster class, because it IS faster? GASP.
Yeah, the S, in that scenerio, is competitively timed. So are the Miata's in CS, and the MR-2's in ES! That's where the whole "driver skill" part comes in. At the last event I went to, an RX-8 was giving an Elise a run for its money. Doesn't mean that you can judge a car's capabilities by that, though.
If you can't get it through your head that, in the performance department--taking out driving excitement, bang/buck factor, fit/finish, etc--the C6 has the S beat--in EVERY category, you're in denial.
I guess it depends where you're at, because I see plenty of Vette's. And if you think the S2000's are aimed towards track junkies, you're wrong. They're for people with $80k+ income looking for a weekend toy. But they do make great track cars--I agree there. A real track junkie aimed car would be the Elise/Exige, ITR, and a few cars that we can't get here in the US.
Yeah, that about sums up how ignorant you are.

The corners are a different story. The results I linked indicate that. Look at the spread between S2000 times and that of the vette times. They are very close, and a few S2000's beat the "much better performing in every category" vette. If you look at the miata and mr-2 times in CS and ES you'll see a much larger spread. It's not just driver.
If the Vette is so much better performing in corners as you state then why are the times so close to the S2000 ? My opinion is it doesn't handle better than the S, it's got a lot of power, but has subpar handling. I'm sorry if that's too complex for you to see.
The Vette isn't better performing in EVERY category. That's
