I feel that you do not get the point at all but everyone else does.....
for 50k plus wich puts it about 20k OVER THE S2K... it is a better track car. BUT i think the fit and finish is junk. they have countless issues with there quality.

And i woud never own a vette.... the new Z06 is a sweet car but other then that after driver about a dozen or so of them i do not think they are worth the money.

PS: your not proving any point by having me break down the explantion i have already given that everyone else has already understood...

So more $$$ = better track car ?

BUT i think the fit and finish is junk.
Yeah, WE already know you are big "interior materials" guy.

they have countless issues with there quality.
Countless? Really? Like what? Oh, and I think you meant to type "their" not "there." But then, what the hack do I know about English?

Hmmm...now you really lost me here. I *think* you are trying to say that the new Z06 is bound to be a "dime a dozen?" Well, do you know how many S2000 are out there now?

No, my posts rarely has any points..."everyone" knows that . But now I'm curious. What am I missing here that "everyone else has already understood?"

"Yeah, WE already know you are big "interior materials" guy."

Sorry If i didn't expect a car that cost 50k to have parts that look like they are out of a truck

the E46 M3...
While I'm a big fan of all BMW's and especially M3's (I drive one). As far as pure performance goes, stock for stock an E46 M3 is not going to keep up with a stock manual C6 on a track either drag or road course. Also they're not even in the same class of cars, M3 is a fat touring car.

Of course i'd much rather own the M3 still

i know... i said its the car that comes closest in terms of all the things he mentioned... its slightly less in performance, but is better in refinement, quality, luxury, drivability, durability, etc... also it does all this while seating 5 people...

The C6 is a great cruiser. If you want to roll top down on Sunset Blvd showing off your bling bling gold chains, and you're furry man boobs, this is the car to get.

The rest of us will take the real sports car - the S2000.

Yeah the C6 will spank an S2000 on a road course, but it will do it in the most boring of ways - on the straight.

Flame away bitches .

I'm not a Vette enthusiast by any means, but have you even looked at the Solo2 results? Vettes are almost always killing the S2000. They're faster in the straights AND in cornering.

Anyway you look at it you can't compare the two. The C6 is a GT, and the S2000 is a sports car. Typically an S2000 shopper won't come in and ask me how the S2000 compares to a Corvette. Not the same market...not the same buyer.

But you still can't deny how significant a car the 'Vette is. It's an Unbeatable bargain for the performance you get out of it. The new Z06 will embarrass most exotics at 1/3 the cost. The 'vette also has a greater appeal to the mass consumer (style, ergonomics, features, prestige), whereas the S2000 is definitely a Niche market car.
