This is what happens when the value of the older production S2000's drop below the $20k threshold.

We get immature high school kids being more able to purchase this car and the quality of the owners and this site starts to drop.
Ding! Ding! Ding! ...and don't look for sympathy from me. I don't think you need anything which you feel turns into a super-car everytime it hits VeeeeTEC. You keep at it and you'll be next in line for bankruptcy. Get smart and stay alive, besides... Grant Turismo 4 is out...

Nice attitude...

You will find as someone else already pointed out, very little sympathy around here with an approach like that. When someone creates sentence structures like you it is obvious to us you should spend more time working on your English skills that driving around in an S2000.

My 1st car was a little Ford 4-door, I bought it for $25 and worked on it for a year to get it ready for the road when I was 16. I learned a lot about hard work, auto mechanics, and time management. Now that I'm older and have an '02 S2000 and an '05 Titan, I can say I have some of the best car memories from that little car.

Look, im not ragging on you or anything, but listen to what you are saying.

Your mother has a bankruptcy which tells me that she cant even afford her own bills and here you are trying to have her get you a s2000? I know you are 16 but like you said "all you need is a mouse and a brain" then please use your brain and realize you (your mom) cannot afford this car and there are more important things like keeping food on the table for you and a roof above your head than to buy you a s2000 so you can impress some highschool girls.

couldnt have put it any better

but have fun driving the car if you get it and watch your mom stress over bills

i would NEVER put debt on my parents... i started off my first car with a small ass $6k loan to buy my own car... i never borrowed more than a couple hundred dollars from parents..

i dont see how someone would want to put a $30k bill over they're parents heads... and instead of helping with bills for the house they live in... they buy mods... $1000 headers... $4000 exhausts.. while parents struggle to pay a mortgage... im not saying this DIRECTLY at you.. but i know these kids are out there because i hear about it all the time...

noones gonna change your mind, im sure of that.. so enjoy the S and post pics when you get it i guess

That's not always the case.. some people lose their jobs, incure great medical expenses, spend their entire savings trying to survive and eventually end up using their credit cards to pay their bills. Not saying that's what happened to his mom.. but most people generalize people who file bankruptcy into a category of irresponsible people who spend money wastefully and then use bankruptcy as a way to escape. That's not always the truth.

I hope this quote wasn't aimed at me. I'm 17 and I bought an 03 for 27000 after taxes. I consider myself more responsible than most teens. I set a goal last year to raise $10000 for a down payment on my car which I reached 2 months ago. I know it must suck being like 25 or so and have some kid under 18 have an S2000 too. Being exclusive is somewhat part of the reason why you guys bought the S in the first place.

Whoa, $10,000 raised for the car? That's impressive! How did you do it and how long did it take? I'll try that for myself and buy a Yamaha R1!

As said about 1000 times on this forum: If people wanted exclusivity, they should buy a porche. 30G's is never gonna be exclusive.

Funny thing is, i hear the same people talking about exclusivity in one post, and the value for the dollar in another Pick one. do you want to make porche owners jealous because your car is cheaper and performs as well, or do you want a car that most people cant afford? That's why people still buy the porche even though the s2k kicks butt.

He's quoting what the salesman said, not his mother. Read it again, he (salesman) said "even if" not "even though". At no time did I see him post his family had a bankruptcy.

What the issue was the finances were promised, but did not deliver in the end. This in spite of the fact the salesman was promising easy financing. The salesman was just exaggerating how "for sure" financing would be. Now, we've pretty much all been in that situation before.

My CU wanted a FICA score over 700 to finance my S2000. Lucky for me, I had one.

Although it is possible, I highly doubt a salesman would bring up the word "bankruptcy" if it was not in fact a bankruptcy or pretty damn close to it.

I have sold many s2000's to people with under a 600 fico score. Anytime you are not approved for a loan, its one of 2 cases.

1. Credit stinks
2. Your monthly income does not qualify you for that car and if indeed this was the case, the dealership would generally give you a "raise" to help get the loan through.

So ask yourself.
