<==== Check out my avatar.

I'm with you SMOOTH976. I couldn"t imagine being in anything else during my 80 mile commute. Why punish yourself by driving a car that doesn't provide you with this much fun.

It's the only sanity I can achieve during my 10 years of driving to and from the same job.

S2k People,

I know sometimes you only hear what you want to hear. But what what you guys are saying is totaly in tune with my mindset. I am 28 and my g/f lives w/ me and 2 of the best parts of my day are driving too and from work. I am also considering a used Evo or STI. I am the kind of guy who chooses the long way because it's more fun and I am in no rush to get home or to get to work. I could buy a used s2k and pay about the same amount i pay now. Do you think it is worth it? Also, S2kAndre, why is it important to by an 02 or newer? Again, thanks for any input.

I'm sure any of those cars would be nice, but you should go out and test drive each one. Don't judge the cars on pure accelleration or power, but be sure to include handling and nimbleness to the equation. The STI's and EVO's are nice, but don't seem to have that go-kart 'feel'. I may be a bit biased, but definitely give the S2000 a shot. You won't regret it.

I'm still smiling to work after 4 years and 2 months and 105k miles later.

Yes, I've had a lot of work done. But it was all covered under warranty, so I don't count it against the S2000 experience.

Do what I did: kept the 02 Type-S for daily driving and bought an MY04. Only problem is I'm soliciting food stamps!!

I've been using my S as a daily driver (other vehicle is a motorcycle). The only bad points are the lack of cargo space and stiff ride. Sometimes I just want to forget that I'm driving, and we all know you can't do that in our cars I think I'll have to pick up an accord or something cushy as a daily driver.
