S2k everyday?
#23
I had an '01, drove it daily (except in snow), and it was great. I sold it about 9 months ago, missed it terribly (despite having another really fun car in the stable), and bought an '03 about a month ago. It is now my daily driver, and snow tires just arrived from Tirerack, and go on the extra rims later this week. IT will be fine in snow and cold weather with the right tires.
It is small and noisy. It is fun to drive. When the weather is nice - even in winter, you can put the top down,. crank up the heater if necessary, and forget about some troubles. Very worthwhile.
The Sti is a great car, and I considered one, as well as an R32 (see HPA mods for something awesome), or even another older 911. But this car is about the purest convertible/raodster on the planet, is reliable, and actually even does well in crash tests. It is cheap to maintain (relative to some others...), and not too flashy or inspiring of hatred and key scratches.
IT is a great little car, a good daily driver, and just plain fun. I recommend the S2000 highly.

Depends on how many steep driveways, bumps or potholes you need to negotiate everyday trying not to scrape the front.
Entering your home driveway with a low car may be a good thing to check before you buy an s2000
