I paid near 26 for my 02 w/ 10k miles OEM front lip, and AEM cai. I felt it was a great deal. Just remember you get what you pay for. The S is an amazing car, however when shopping for pre-owned's you must be careful, honda makes a great reliable car, but thats only as long as the driver takes proper care of it, so be careful and good luck. You may want to try to squeeze a couple more g's outta your dad if you can
