i'm talking about in terms of only handling, not acceleration. is it fair to assume that most of you think that the exotics handle better, turn faster, respond to your input better and grip longer than the s2k? even though most are heavier? sorry for the questions, just really curious.

So do Mustangs or they do come close, that test is not very accurate at showing how well the car handles. This surprised me that S2k was ~.9 while the mustang topped that.

I think that for the money the S2000 is one best handling cars on the market. I think when you talk about exotics, this is a totally different game.

I think they grip longer.

From what I've read, some exotics are very touchy in various ways, which isn't what I personally would call 'handle better' or 'respond to input better'. But that's just from reading reviews, not from actually driving any.

Higher handling "limits" don't necessarily = good handling. I would imagine most exotics have higher limits but would probably not be as nimble and as tossable as the S2000.

I think it was the 2000 Cobra R that pulled somewhere around .99g on the skidpad. Aside from that one, they've all been around .89 as far as I know.

The skidpad doesn't prove one car handles better than the other, as tyres play a huge role in the #s obtained. Skidpad #s show tyre grip levels more than anything else. The problem with Honda is that they often 'undersize' their tyres/wheel packages...yet still somehow manage some pretty respectable skidpad/cornering/slalom #s out of their performance cars. More than once I've seen a Motoring journalist comment on that fact, and act quite perplexed.

In any case, I've still never seen a mustang skidpad # top that of an S2k.
