s2k inspection options
Hey folks,
So I'm about to pull the trigger on a private S2k sale in the Pittsburgh area on friday. I have an appt booked with a Honda dealership for an inspection, though I have not yet decided on what type of inspection...they offer the following:
40 pt Inspection - $20 ish?
Certified inspection (this is the same inspection they perform on their own used vehicles that they sell) - $89
Compression Test - $89
From reading some of the threads on a 40 pt inspection, I get the feeling that its a waste of time/money. From speaking with the service guy on the phone, it sounded like the certified inspection is an glorified 40 pt inspection. The compression test comes with neither inspections, and must be purchased on its own.
So, any opinions on which option(s) should I choose?

i would do the certified + compression but i am OCD...
i did the certified inspection before i bought my car and found that all my brake pads were close to shot. made a deal with the dealership i bought the car from that i would buy the car if they threw in free brake pads + service. the inspection paid for itself.
