This is for the MY03 only and not including the other car.

Multicar discount is simply an additional discount given by insurance companies if you wanted to insure more than one car.

I just checked the Amex link ... it is indeed the best possible rate I've seen!
Thanks DeluxeS2k for posting it! It cut my insurance in half....

owenxguo,

I recently switched from a single car policy (just the S2000) to a multi-car / multi-driver policy (the S2000 is still listed as my commuter). Here's my before and after rates...

Single car policy:

$50k / $100k / $50k coverage
$500 collision deductible, $100 comprehensive deductible
~$720 / 6 months premium

Multicar policy:

$100k / $300k / $100k coverage
$500 collision deductible, $100 comprehenxive deductible
~$660 / 6 months premium

I'm 25, no points on my record, and no at-fault accidents. I do have one speeding ticket (took traffic school for it) and one accident that was someone else's fault, but these shouldn't matter.

I'm with Mercury, and IMO, these rates are so-so, not the absolute best but certainly not too shabby. I've gotten quotes from Wawanesa, and they beat these rates by maybe ~$200 a year.
