oh by the way your 'real' discount does not apply until you are past 25 years of age. If you are under 25 it does not matter how clean your record is. You are still a risk.

also, have you checked your credit history lately? Insurance companies rely on this very much lately to determine your rate. It has nothing to do with how you drive, but it does show how responsible you are. So pay your bills on time will also help lower your rate

to those of you who don't know about American Express. The reason i recommend it is that it's online. You can just enter your info and pick your own coverages and deductibles. They will give you a quote which you can either accept or deny. This way you don't have to talk to anyone or feels like they are ripping you off. And you can save the quote for later if you change your mind

im 21, male, in nj and i pay 3300 a year with one speeding ticket 2 years ago and one runnin a redlight. i guess its ok.

Wow, I feel bad for you guys in CA and NJ. I pay $550 per YEAR 100/300 500 deduct, clean record, over 25, married, >2 cars, in the midwest.

Amica is cheaper than Progressive for me and my S and it's a whole lot better at paying claims. BTW: when you call, a person with a name and a real phone number answers. It's a rare treat. I got my insurance through Penny -- she was really nice.
