I would be OK with a GOOD "general" mechanic to do work on my car if I didn't do it myself. Such a mechanic would be skilled enough but not familiar with an S2000 enough that he would take the time to figure out how to do the job and what all is needed to do it right. A "regular" Honda mechanic, however, is so used to working with Civics and other Honda products, that they make assumptions that an S2000 can be taken care of in the same way. (See my last post.)
