Let me get this straight: you want to add weight, add complexity, decrease reliability, ruin nighttime aerodynamics/styling, and lose the HID's, all in quest of 80's-era Miami Vice style? Where do I sign up?

i dig the popup lights on some cars (rx-7, F40, F355, nsx, miata) but i just don't see the point in doing it on the s2000. there are plenty of cars i'd like to own with them...sorry if they're not 'cool' any more you guys.

Pop-up head lights should have been retired on all cars years ago.
I was happy the NSX and Vette finally got rid of them.
They were the worst idea for lights to start with. Let's not bring them back.
They look ok when closed, but like total a$$ when open.

As the former owner of a Mazda RX7 with popup headlights, I can say that they look fine when they are down. When they are up, the car looks like a startled frog.

Oh, and one more thing...

While the other two pics are, this above is not a slantnose.

Can I be there when you cut the holes in your fenders and try to line everything up??? Have you ever seen miata's lights or any other car with pop ups line up after its been hit of messed with?

I say you should do it. Hell...I'll even bring the beer!!!
