Is the S2k a realistic everyday car?
IT depends on ur style if it is or not. I love mine as a DD because it is so fun to drive i enjoy it if i have a bad day the car puts a smile on my face. But i hate it as a DD no cargo room at all only 2 seats good and bad at times, If ur really tall i can see space being a problem. But honestly there are some other cars in the same range u might want to consider if u want a bigger performance car. I still whish i had my evo. IT's 4 door good size trunk, turboed and lots of go fast parts for cheap. Down the road i am going to get one or a truck and use the S only for weekends or track use to enjoy the car even more
I am really enjoying it as a daily driver. It's not our only car, which helps. But in most locations it's cheaper to pay a friend a few bucks or rent a van / pickup for infrequent occasions than to pay the additional gas of a larger vehicle.
It depends upon your lifestyle really. Got kids? Do you go shopping and buy large things or large amounts frequently? Do you have a family to transport or are you a bachelor? Do you like to tow things?
If no to most of those, then you are looking at the perfect car

I like the S and love driving it and don't forget it's Honda reliable. But, as a daily driver I don't think so. On long drives or in bad weather something else is always my choice.
If this would be your daily driver and you really love the car and are willing to temper your style when it's wet than go for it and never look back. It is a great car!

^Nope. This is my first and last S2000 and never looking back.
I've enjoyed the car to the fullest extent and believe it's time to move on to something better. I personally think the cars time came and went 5 years ago but it still serves it's purpose on warm sunny days in southern California.

I was concerned with daily driving the s when I first got it. I went from a subaru to the s in january and we got about 4 inches of snow a few days after I got the car. Afterdriving in that I am pretty sure the s can be daily driven in just about anything. I even purchased a grill at home depot and managed to bring it home in the back of the s. You just have to be a little more careful in crap weather and a little creative and you can use it for 95% percent of the stuff you could your rx8.
