Only one issue, my vtec broke off once when I downshifted into reverse at 75. Covered under Hondacare, no problemo. I actually got a vtec off the prototype 09 S3000 to beta test. So far I like it but I had to trim my hood to make it fit.

They are tiny round peices of metal, sometimes lined with plastic or some other material. It stablizes the valve stem. helps keep it from jittering around. when they failed, I got random misfires, check engine, rough idle, and lots of soot and black smoke out the back from the valves not properly seating....runs good now though. knock on wood. hopefully i can get out of the red with the payments before something else goes wrong and i can trade it for a new one. with a warranty
