Id hit it
I'm 20 and going to be a new s2000 owner here in a month, and coming from a mkv gti that was stupid low on fancy wheels, the s2000 wont get the same treatment.
It'll be modded to accentuate what it was designed to be. A track car for the street.
Fully adjustable coilovers, lightweight wheels, a full race turbo kit, k-pro.
I hate the hellaflushstancebrowaffledcrushedruinedfendersdidi saybro scene. Its utterly retarded. Why ruin a car so it sits "pretty" when its completely useless on the road?
Unless of course there is air involved... But thats a different story. A properly set-up air ride system will out handle the MAJORITY, not all, of the available coilovers.

Yes the majority. Granted, the s2000 is in a different category. 90% of available coilovers will outhandle an s2000 on air, but the options for your average tuner car(vw gti, 350z, mustang, etc)have the potential to not handle as well.
You can run a bagyard setup and depending on lines, sway bars, bags, compressors, ie the whole kit, what management is used, etc, has the potential to outhandle a properly setup coilover system.
As another example, accuair's e-level system with height based leveling, intead of pressure based autopilot, will keep the car level around a corner.
Teins, N1's, pss10's are in the above category, where fk's, rokkors, and racelands are in the "a properly set up air suspension setup will out perform a coilover."
In all seriousness, if youre still confused, ill explain further to you in detail.
I don't see how any car on air ride would out-handle a set of high end coilovers, if that is the only variable. Air ride systems add so much weight, for one, and a properly valved shock/spring setup will have almost no negatives in comparison.
Air ride on an S2000 is an utter disgrace, please don't ever bring up that idea again. And honestly you may as well only compare to coilovers in the same price range as an air ride kit, which would be $3,000+ in which case I'm pretty sure the coilovers would be better.

Out handle the majority of available coilovers? I dont know much about air ride systems so I cant say really, but I can somehow doubt this

Another thing that comes to mind with the description given, of air ride. It doesnt sound like it would give a predictable on track experience. The monotube real race dampers will give confidence, and consistency. I cant see an air ride system giving the same confidence. Straight out, I think it is stupid, but if you want nobody is stopping you. Prove us all wrong, if you so desire...
Again, Im not an expert on the topic. This is just my amateur opinion.
