S2K Spin Stories
I've spun on a soaked trackday and in the snow (didn't know there was snow, long journey and was caught out). Tank slapper changing gear, luckily it was early and there wasn't a soul on the road as i used ALL of it. I turned around and headed home after that lol. Most memorible spin from the Irish crew....

Holy crap!
Are the s2000's really that easy to crap out?
that road was dry!
Dudley, the s2000 was my first manual and first rear wheel car. That's a great recipe for disaster.
Right after I bought the car I changed the tires just to make sure that the little thread left wouldn't give problems. To this day, the only times I felt loss of grip from the back tires was when I was making left turns at intersections and stepped a little too much on the gas. Learned there that making turns like that in second and making it rev to 5K would make the tail happy. Stop making by just being a little more gentle on the throttle.
As someone with not much experience with rear wheel, I really never do the turns in the vtec range, I just get speed before and maintain it. To this day, all the Times the tail became happy was due to my own fault and so now I try to avoid circumstances like those
I have also done spirited drives and really never had a problem. While others apparently shared that they were doing the drive in a lower gear to what I did, I still felt that the car does have good grip if you have good tires. (never attempted with low thread)
If it rains, my car doesn't go past 4k rpm and I don't really speed, maybe 10km/h over limit. Also to this day never had problems.
All this with an Ap1 which has no TC.
To my belief there is only three circumstances to which you will spun the car, you abuse it when you don't know it's limits, when there is something on the road that makes you lose traction or bald tires.
All this experience with 20k km done in my ap1.

Did you miss the part where I talked about how I man-handled the ever living sh!t out of my S at Laguna Seca and it didn't spin? And I had VSA turned off, as I do whenever I'm on a track or autocross course.
Every car can spin. We've all had close calls. The S is no more dangerous than the Miata you've been driving for the last 24 years.
