Ya there was a dip, you can see the other car hit it first so the back went light. Any other RWD car would do it. The S was my first RWD i owned, as long as you respect it you'll be fine. Id driven RWD before that though on track.

Not entirely true. The s2k suspension changes toe as it loads and unloads. Makee for some interesting handling through a dip/bump.

relatively new to the car still. on snow tires, the car is planted*(i'm yet to try it in anything over 3inches). I recommended dunlop winter sports. they're essentially a summer tire for the winter. Very soft compound, but a stiffer sidewall then a blizzak. How well will they hold up? Well that's the thing, they do have less grip then an all season, so expect some tail sliding if you're hard on the gas/try to drive like senna, just know its easier to recover a slid on snowtires on dry pavement in the winter then summer tires in the summer. Less power is needed to overcome the tires when you go to correct.

Lastly, apparently snow tires are really only good when new, so get a spare set of rears, and keep all seasons on em. I use an allseasons till the snow is about to fall. then swap to snows.

Also if you're scared of snow, well rain isnt much better. my advice to you is to get a set of stupidly hard tires, preferably used 205's and go drifting. learn the car, see how it reacts.

as for spins, i've spun my car at least 50 times. just never on a public road.

Now my opinion on the s2000 is slightly different from some of the other owners, but its a my own honest opinion on the car. Its a lightweight, small car, with a 50 50 weight distribution. That makes it snappy. It doesnt have much torque, so recovering slides at highspeed isnt really an option. If you loose it in this car over 80, you'll be in some deep shit. If you put wider tires on it, you're increasing the break point of the tires(higher speed spins), while making it more difficult for the lack of torque to overcome the wheels(dry). Now all of that wont matter if you're mature about it. dont drive the car past 7 tenths. Anything under that the car is happy to oblige, anything over that, the car depends solely on the driver.

Take a step back and look at your s2000, what do you see? it prob looks nice doesnt it? Now do you want to roll your s2000? wrap it around a pole? crumple it up in to a tin can, No? doesnt look like the safest car on the block does it. Yeah, just keep that in the back of your head the next time you decide to push it, cuz it'll bite your feaking head off faster then you can scream.

i had rear summer tires that were almost bald. Winter came and I drove fast around a right-hand corner I had mastered near my house. Needless to say my ass spun out and i did everything i could to not go into the other lane, but I ended up sliding through the gravel on the shoulder. Some guy had his truck/trailer combo parked in front of me on the side and i was a couple feet away before i stopped.

Welp shit, I'm an idiot. Spun it trying to avoid getting hit my some idiot without their lights on in rainy dark conditions. I was turing right at a light, didn't see them due to weather and no lights, then as soon as I was halfway through my turn, I noticed the shape moving, and thusly turned hard towards the shoulder to get out of their way, I lost the rear and spun into the ditch. No damage, just damaged pride and rattled a bit.

Yes, I have. Right after I got the car I decided to take a corner in the rain a bit too fast, I broke loose and went clutch in without any brake. I've gone a long way from then
