Hello everybody!
This is my first post, but I've been "lurking" on this board for quite some time .
As almost everybody else on this board, I like the stook very much, but I have a small (actually big) issue. I'm pretty big: 6.2 and around 240 lbs.
I went today at the San Diego Autoshow and I've managed to sit in a stook - pretty tight, but bearable, I guess. However, I wasn't able to see how it looks with the top up, since the battery was disconnected.
So, my question is: are other S2k owners which are pretty big? And I do remember that I've seen such a post some time ago, but the search function didn't work (at least for me).
As a quick note, I have a good friend - excellent mechanic - and he was telling me that if I will decide to buy one, he can lower the seat for me (take it out from the rails and mount it directly on the floor). Hopefully, this will be a last resort option.
By the way - the asking price per one of the Honda sales guys: MSRP + 10 grand. No comment here.

I'm a pretty big guy (6', 215 lbs.) and I have no problems whatsoever with the car. It has plenty of headroom and the seats are very comfortable (not too narrow). Although I'm not quite as big as you, I still have lots of overhead space with the top up. I'd be surprised (more like shocked) if you had to take any special measures to make better headroom.

There have been other threads addressing this same issue and I don't remember any of the large owners complaining that the car was too small, too low on clearance or too tight.

As for the price, however, THAT'S a different issue. MSRP plus 10K? This guys jerking your chain. I paid MSRP plus 2K, and I feel like I got screwed. Lots of people are getting them at MSRP. Look around. It would be cheaper (and dare I say more fun?) to fly to a place where they don't move as many units to get what you want for MSRP and drive it home. That would even let you get your car past the break-in period (first 600 miles).

Keep looking. And if you've been lurking a while, you know this is a purchase you won't regret. The WORST experiences are included on this board, and even those who had bad experiences with dealers or glitches or whatever almost always rave about how much they LOVE THIS CAR!!

I have no problem with head room or feeling cramped - I think that the stook has more headroom than the Z.

I'm 6' 3" and have no problems with visability or headroom although I do remember thinking my vew was limited on the test drive (with the roof up) you do get used to it.

The area wher the car is tightest for me is the steering wheel against my legs. Again you get used to it.

I use my Stook as my daily driver and love it!!

6'3", 220. I have no problems on half day trips. This is the only car of the convertible 2 seaters that I can sit upright in. The best "tall-guy" change I made was to do the sideview mirror mod at: https://www.s2ki.com/faqs/faq_mirror.php.

I have to admit, though, that every time I get in them Z28 now, I'm impressed with the feeling of roominess.

6'4", 240 here - no problems with headroom. You'll be fine.

I'm 6'2" 190. I tend to be a little more long waisted, so I had the same concerns that you do. Before ordering mine, I drove from Reno to Sacramento, just to sit in one with the top up. No problemo! I even had about 2 inches to spare.
The only problems that I have is at a red light with the top up. If I'm the first one in line, I have to bend over a bit. I wouldn't give up my stook just because of that.
It is such a beautiful car,,, if you fit in one,,, buy it. You won't be sorry.

6'2" 190~195 lbs. I'm uncomfortable, but I fit. Unlike some of the other posters, I feel pretty drained more than an hour drive. Definitely doesn't leave a lot of nut room (sorry, I don't have a tech term for it). Also, head room isn't a problem, but make sure you keep your head below the roll bar - that's not as easy to do if you're tall.

6'3", 190lbs, size 16 shoes, a little tight, but well worth it The S2000 has plenty of headroom, could use some more legroom, but what do you expect with a two seat roadster right?
