S2K Top - Easy or Hard to Operate???
On the Speedvision Review of the S2000 v. the Boxster S in the Library section of www.s2ki.com , the narrator says the S2000's top is "irritating" to put down.
What does he mean?
Don't you just unlatch it from the inside and hit the "roof" button in the center console?
What could possibly make the process annoying or irritating?
Is it because after it's folded down, it doesn't have a "cover" for it, and that "cover" has to be manually fixed on the folded top?
Sorry if this doesn't make sense, but it was kinda confusing to hear the narrator say "...and this feature can get downright irritating..."

Well, with the crappy $%$!! plastic window you need to watch and be careful you are not getting any wrinkles!
If it doesn't "roll" inside itself properly you get a nasty "fold" or "crease" in the gosh-durned window!
Otherwise - lickity split! Cretainly the boot is a pain to put on manually, but my fix seems to work best:
1) Put top down (use Muzmat)
2) Put on boot
3) Drive in nice weather
4) Keep in a garage with dust cover and leave the top down!

You can use Quicktime to convert into an .avi format...I don't think the DIVX codec will work.
Otherwise, either Windows Media Player or RealPlayer should work.
Quicktime would be your best bet.

The top is a snap to put up or down. To unlatch the top you do have to push (or hold) the front of the top forward, there is a handle in the middle specifically for this, while you unlatch the latches. But once you learn to remember this, the rest is a snap. The boot cover is a pain though, so I find myself not putting it on most of the time.
