Its almost 2009 and stock S2K's are being left in the dust by minivans. One saving grace is that the S2k are born with a quality few cars possess:Style.

It is but seriously how many times do we have to repeat the same argument? Calm yourself down and think again why you purchased an S2000. If it still doesn't make any sense to you, sell it right now and get a brand new Cobalt SS, and enjoy having to explain to every single person why you purchased the car.

I could've bought other cars with plenty of $$$ left to make them faster than the S both on road and around the track, but the reality is, nobody would give a fck simply because of how ugly some cars are. This car is lacking updates, but it still holds up pretty well in terms of speed and especially the precision of handling. Plus I doubt I'd ever sell my S considering the direction most designs are heading. Isn't it funny when S, being over 8 years old with pretty much no update to its look, still looks MUCH better than most of these upcoming models?

-Unique engine that no other car gets
-High revving engine
-Top down ftmfw
-Go-kart like handling
-The Cobalt SS might be faster around the track, but there is no way it's as much fun to drive.
-There was a lot more engineering effort that went into this car than the Cobalt SS, the Lancer Rally-Art, etc. If Honda was looking to make the fastest car and make it cheap, they could very easily throw on a turbo/sc and make it a coupe so that it's body is more rigid and they could make the car lighter, but they made a roadster that is more fun to drive than most of the cars on the road that I see today.
-More N/A horsepower per liter than any car I can think of off the top of my head.

If you don't like it, then sell it and buy your little FI cars. Why did someone create another one of these threads?

They should have boosted the CR from the factory. Then continued to offer the base model NA. Best of both worlds.

Cobalt turbo, Neon turbo... might be faster, but I don't want one.

The Cobalt SS is just like the SRT4....at the end of the day you're still driving a low end Chevy Cobalt/Cavalier or Dodge Neon.

I'll take my slow S2000 any day of the week, and twice over when the weather is nice.

Did we really need a part 2 of this thread? It looks just the same as Part 1.

Enough already. The S2000 isn't the fastest car in a straight line. Get over it.

i think everyone's missing the point. no one said they want a cobalt they're just saying how a sh1tty car like that is even faster than an s2000 which looks like/should be faster than a crapbox.

and the faster in the track arguement gets old. i bet the majority of the s2k owners don't even track the s2000 and i won't either. however, this discussion is always pointless, because it's not likehonda is gonna read this and install a turbo on everyone's s2k for free. the s2000 seems just like the nsx, hasn't been updated in many years so it fell behind and eventually died out. but i do agree with everyone that says s2k is not meant to do ricer fly by's and show off that it can go faster than other cars doing the speed limit in the streets. (which i can imagine some ricer in a cobalt ss/neon srt doing)
