I'm actually pretty confident an LS7 wouldn't throw off by that much.

People are putting LS1's into their FD's and still keeping a 50/50 weight distro; I don't see how an LS7 would be extremely different in an s2k.

I doubt that Two S2000 motors = Affordable.

Each engine = ~$5k. You're looking at $10k before engineering and labor.

I'd be shocked if the cost comes in <$15k after all is said and done.

You can buy an RS4 engine for that amount (see my avatar).

13B-REW is half iron and has a stupid-heavy sequential-twin-turbo setup, going to a single or even parallel twins saves weight on the front. And a stock FD has closer to 49/51, so the extra weight of an LS1 + fiberglass hood brings it to about 50/50. Oh, and it has torque then

Anyway, wouldn't the 4-valve K20 head be a better candidate? From the scuttlebutt I've heard it flows better than the F20 head... makes sense since I've seen a lot more near-300wHP K20 cars than S2000s

i'd honestly rather dump 10 grand into a na F20 based V8 swap than a turbo kit. Nothing would sing like the tune of a 9k 480hp all honda v8 under the hood of my s2000.

A V8 F35C at 9000rpm, if it could be made to fit in the S2000 engine bay, would be an awesome thing to behold. 420hp or so?

LoL, no engine development is cheap.

But for awesome-factor, if all the goals (weight dist, space in engine bay, etc) can be optimized, i think this would be a pretty affordable option.

And you got me with the avatar again, jerk.
