Hey guys i just raced a friend of my who has a 03 s2k and i have an 02 like 30 min ago, we were basically heads up but he was 3 feet in front of me, considering he had a passenger and i had my windows down i wonder if it made any difference, could my windows being down have screwed me over and he also had exhaust if that makes a difference. was it bad that i wasn't ahead a few feet ? what could effect the performance of the car more ? my windows down or him having a passenger ?

well actually thinking about it, your car might be running rich compared to his according to the MY. i cant remember if honda fixed the richness in the MY02.

Honda fixed the richness in the MY02-03. The MY00-01 are the years that run a bit rich.

Also, I'm going to agree with the others, it was most likely driver error that screwed you. If you really think that it is not it is possible that you are running low compression, but that's doubtful considering how close you guys were.
