I always gas-up before I see the low fuel light but last night I was feeling experimental as a result of this thread. I ran it down to 0 bars and drove an additional 19 miles before I stopped for gas.

Just FYI.

Yeah, with an AP2! Vik2000 you have an ap2 so im sure you get 260-280 with a full tank. My boy has an ap2 and he always gets around 250-300 miles with a full tank. I've never heard of anyone with an ap1 going over 220-230 miles with a full tank of gas. So once again i call
2001 Silverstone, I drive backroads to and from work (23miles each way) and have hit a high of 27.4mpg(326miles) for a full tank and a low of 17mpg (was chasing an m3 the whole way home ). My average fuel efficiency is right around 22-23mpg * 12 gallons (leaving 1.6 or whatever in the tank, usually 2 bars or so before the light comes on) puts me at 264-276 miles per fill up (usually right around 260 as I rarely put in a full 12 gallons).

I hit about 12 lights/stop signs each way, and certainly don't drive like a granny, but I do maximize the amount of momentum I carry through each turn so I am not wasting gas accelerating to get back up to speed.

Edit: haha I just noticed you've only been here 74 days. Is that when you bought your car? If you've only had it for half a year or so then I can see why you'd think it wasn't very possible, my first couple months I got under 20mpg at every fill up.

Dude honestly you have to 1 be lieing 2 drive like a gran ma all the time!! Their is no way in hell you get 260-270 like you claim (unless you drive under 4000 rpm all the time). Everyone i've asked has told me their s2k does under 220 miles with a full tank.. Or you have the golden s2000!
With the top up I do 250 no sweat. Last week I had a 215 at half bars. Top down and tracking are another story.

The manual should state how much gas your tank holds anyways.

Well $H!T...I have ran my car down to the 0 bar and another 10 or 15 miles after that, and I still didn't even get a full 11 gallons in...?!?!?!

The most I've gotten is 10.8....from above ^

What gives?
I suppose my fuel gauge is seriously out of whack?

Needless to say I get around 230-240 each fill up, but that's only 10 gallons.

If I go on a trip, I can get 280-290 out of the tank (again 10-10.5 gallons) if It is strictly highway the whole tank.

And yes, it's an ap1.

Easily achieve 280-320 miles per tank (all highway) and it's not even broke in yet.

How did this thread go from a question about why his fillups are irregular to posting all of your fuel averages?
