Honestly, I think this forum isn't that bad. IWSTI.com, g35driver.com and many Toyota MR2 forums are filled with members who want to make a name for themselves over the internet and they try to do it by bashing others. Many members on this forum have told me I'm brutally honest when others post pictures or make an opinion on something, but the fact is that this IS a forum and it wouldn't be interesting if we didn't share our opinions...brutally honest or not. But I agree there is a difference between bashing someone and giving constructive criticism. If someone decides to put Rotas on their S2000, I don't care because it's their car...but if someone is going to modify it in a manner that it might damage their car, I will absolutely share my opinion. Again, constructive criticism.

I was actually happy though because I thought this thread was going to be all about how people don't post as much and just a list of complaints. After all of this economy talk, I can't take much more of it. But this has been my favorite forum for years and I will continue to post, as I see something interesting every day.

This is a public forum for people to express their opinions. Of course people will always agree and disagree.

^^ It isn't a public forum for anyone to post, but it is public for anyone and everyone to view the most discussed threads (i.e. S2000 Talk, Gallery, etc.)

Completely agree, there are still sane people on the forums. Thanks just wanted to know if I was the only one that felt this way recently!

it also matters which part of the site u post in / or read. i do agree with some things, because i see certain mods that i think are horribly ugly, but seem to be the "goal" of many owners. some people surely come and share their opinion, whether go or bad, but the real shame is those that only seem to come and bash

Thumbs down

I totally understand your post, especially about the exterior modifications. First a foremost, why would you pay through the roof for an 'official' Mugen or Spoon part when you can get a replica that looks just like it (or better) for half the price? Same goes for other modifications like a strut bar. Does it have to be J's Racing? I'm sure a nice aluminum one with proper mounts for half the price will do the exact same thing. I'm not being cheap, but I've noticed how some people are JDM or GTFO.

EDIT: Oh yea, and not to mention how if someone has a decal they like, or special colored rims, exhaust, spoiler etc they just say 'rice'. It's all what the individual likes to do with their car. If you don't like it, say you're not a fan but there's no need to call their car rice. (Especially S2000's since they're probably the most respected Honda)
