Yeah I am sure, I got a good look at the front of his car in my rearview mirror.

HOWEVER I did fail to mention that it was a fairly young kid(17-18 tops) and I believe it was an automatic. I did not expect to pull that much on him and I doubt that I would have if my buddy who owns a 2000 Z28 6spd and I were racing (just havent had the time yet). I suspect this was a case of poor driving technique, lack of confidence and underestimation of the S2000 by the kid. [/B]
Well done then. Put it to those peasents YEEHAAAAAAA!

Thanks.

The top was up, I have to admit I didnt launch fantastic but it was far from bad. As many of you know this car is pretty tricky to launch from a dead stop.

As far as my drag racing ability I'm gonna have to rate myself pretty high having done alot of this in my Vette (on the track).

My wife was very surprised how much he pulled on us , as she put it "He spanked you" which only makes me wonder if he had some after market stuff going on under the hood.

I have never had my ass handed to me like that before, especially by a 4 door sedan with 4 people in it.

But as Greg Stevens once said "Hey sometimes its fun losing too" this was one of those times.

P.S. after the little encounter my wife and I went to the Audi dealer to check out the S4, they had 6 of them on the lot all stickered at $41,900. I didnt know they made it in automatic as well...... what a waste. By the way the blue is very nice.

You're getting the TIP?! Oh, no. The six-speed and the Tip are very different in feel.

My S4 will wax my S2000 any day of the week, on the street. My S2000 is more awe inspiring as well as more adrenelin pumping to drive!! The sS4 makes a six feel like an eight, the s2k is like a baby Ferrari. Apples to oranges, the S4 will beat a Ferrari too, but that doesnt mean that the car (Ferrari or S2k) sucks, It is just out of its element. BTW my s2k will win on the track any day!

Which Ferrari is being beat by the S4? I don't think so. Anyway, anyone beating an LS1 Z28 in an S2000 is either a MUCH better driver then the person in the Z28 or the Z28 didn't feel like playing. This has been discussed many times (like right now in off topic) and it just isn't going to happen.

About the S4, my roommate and I took a drive in one that was Stage 1 chipped and had a Borla. Thing pulled like crazy, couldn't tell we were going fast (about 100). There were 4 of us in the car (adding about 820lbs) so it was hard to tell how fast it really was as I was also sitting in the back. I was impressed because how quiet it was and how stable it felt.

But that same car was taken to Englishtown and ran a 13.5 at 102.

So it is obviously quick, and would take the S. I don't know anyone running a stock S at 13.5. So maybe that should help answer some questions.
