Been paranoid about door dings since I got my first car.
And have been doing everything possible to avoid getting them.

Bought my car pre-owned and while it has some paint defects, there isn't ONE ding anywhere (amazingly). Not even a tiny one that you can only see by kneeling from a certain angle.

I park very defensively and sacrifice convenience for safety to keep it that way. Preferably reversed into a corner spot hugging the curb/grass furthest from the door in an area where no one would otherwise come near.

there's always at least one random asshole that parks next to me instead of one of the other 20 available spaces.

Hahah, not on my s2k, but on the B5 A4 I had prior, my ex girlfriend and I were kind of arguing a bit, and I had just pulled up to get gas. She was like ugh whatever, and got out to go get something to drink, opened my door too hard, it hit the white pole at the end of the gas pump then flew back closed. Fight was over-- she was so apologetic. Apparently I won that fight

I work at a supermarket and people always question why I park at the farthest possible spot away from the store. I also park in a corner spot and when i get out i'm stepping on the curb.

I hunt for corner spots..

Man, don't ever move to hawaii any of you. My car was ding free after a year of ownership, in about 4 months in Hawaii I already have 5....yes 5 significant door dings. I guess I should have been more paranoid but parking lots are usually pretty small out here so not a lot of extra spots far away.....

What would it take to get the SADD badge changed to an 'official' badge? Would be nice if I could move it out of my signature and display it cleanly with the other badges...
