I don't think the four bolts/nuts that hold the X-Brace in place would do much to impede the progress of the multi-hundred pound engine under the force of a major frontal collision.

I would go with the Spoon X brace, it think its a little safer because can flex more and it has welds... Welds may break under a 700 pound engine drop.

I would go with one of the alloy braces myself.

I would'nt worry about it. When it's your time to go(hopefully upstairs).....it'll happen regardless of some silly add-on chassis brace. I like to think that it's entirely possible that my bridge girder..... I mean my Rick's/Digrappa X-Brace might help me avoid a full frontal collision in the first place.

With x-brace installed, shouldnt this problem?
Because of x-brace, will engine intrude into cabin with hard impact?
There is so much crush zone on the S2000 before you get to the engine that the x-brace would not be a consideration. Even in a high speed head on it would be difficult to push past the front cross member to push the engine. IMO it is not a concern.

Most of the engine is past the x-brace anyways. It ain't going to make a bit of difference if its on or not with tens of thousands of pounds of force hitting it, its going to collapse. Hell you hit something on the road and it'll collapse.
