Salvaged car question?
NO reputable car dealersip will take this car as a trade and depending on the state you live in you may be required by LAW to inform a buyer of salvage title .Not everyone will look closely to see if it's a salvage,I know I've seen it!!!Don't get stuck - plan to keep it forever.Should be great for a track car.
Another issue you have to watch out on salvaged cars is their crash resistance in future crashes. The car may look fine, it may drive fine, but in another crash in the same area that was repaired, may fail considerably worse than before.
Unless I'm buying the car to auto-x and put a full cage in with full safety gear, you're not going to see me driving a salvaged car on the street.
Now, cars that are theft recovery, where the car was stripped, but not damaged, that to me would be a better deal.
