Receipts! , if your out of state, you'll need them to pass the salvage test

The idea of a salvage title varies from state to state, none here in Massachusetts.
I have no problem with a salvage title if the work was done correctly.

I don't care if all the numbers match, only if it looks and drives perfectly.

BTW, mine might have been one too, based on the dealer it came from, a highly respected auto body shop

I work at a body shop that only fixes and sells salvage vehicles, there is nothing wrong with a salvage title vehicle as long as the work is done right, We have had plenty of salvage title cars come in that were not fixed right and I would never drive one without a very thorough inspection. I have seen plenty of cars with ripped frames come into the shop and thats scary.

For starters the ad does NOT list the year of the vehicle. The sellers suggests it's worth $19k..then says he figured he would drop the price to sell it... Why would you drop it to $19k and not $15k? There's more to the story on this vehicle.

Personally I wouldn't drop $11,xxx on a car with a salvaged title.

Good points - its a 2002, we know now, which is not a $19k car unless you are seriously into low mileage. With this car, that could be a second engine though. The pricing logic doesn't make sense.

Doesn't the ad state "you could never tell it got in a wreck at all perfect all the way around"?

Also, you can see a slight difference on the colors of a couple body panels.

I did not read the ad, I was replying to a statement.
