Yes, the bumper is a wear item. After 100K, track days, road and crap it takes abuse. The windshield is a wear item too.

These 2 were people I know but at the dealership I worked at there where at least 20 S2000s, 3 Preludes, a BRAND NEW Civic SI that where all but the Civic got totalled, they took the seats and shifter but no top cut.
