my understanding is it cuts the throttle, not always ideal and can be dangerous in itself.

its an unnecessary electronic gizmo that makes you think your superman.
that's funny... isnt that what you're trying to say about yourself?

...

i dont try to push the car through ramps too hard. around here there's an elevated ramp built in segments using metal segment-connectors. well theyre not built well/smooth, so the transition between surface-connector-surface is like hitting a speed bump in the middle of a turn, potentially upsetting to the delicate balance in a corner (especially in our short wheel base car).

first time i drove it i got a little surprise.. now i know to take it easy...

doesn't the ABS system on the '04 and up AP2's already have individual braking built-in, for example if you brake hard while turning?

Maybe the point is that if VSA saved you, you were in a place where you shouldn't have been. Playing on the street is not a good thing and there are risks involved. We wouldn't want to see "I crashed my car because there was grease on the road" as your next email.
It doesn't matter that I was driving a little harder than the normal person around that turn... I'm sure a few people that turned on that ramp that day had a little slippage going on too.

I like my right-foot vsa better....
I guess you have four tiny brake pedals under your right foot, and really flexible toe's...
... and some yaw and G sensor somewhere in your inner ear...
... and a really fast brain...

cool...

We bought S2000s just like the rich people buy their exotics... Ferraris, Lambos... whichever... they still have some sort of vehicle stability control.

Oh yeah... did we also forget to mention that we can TURN IT OFF?!?!?

Next time someone posts about spinning out in the rain or whatever else in a Non-VSA S2k... you should tell them that they should have used their INDY Car Pro Driver skills to get out of it.

Despite all these random posts on how VSA is bad and they would never have it, I bet if all s2ks had it, there would be much fewer accidents. Whether anyone wants to believe it or not your not even 50% of the driver you think you are because I bet less then half the people here have ever been to an autox / race track to see how much they really DON'T know how to drive.

Fact is VSA can save you from a bad situation. 99% of the time you shouldn't even be driving to the point where you need VSA to save your ass but you know what, shit happens (ie, grease, gravel, etc) and thats what its there for; a last resort.
