Saved by VSA once again

Shit happens... You can't control it, and there is nothing you can do about it...
If you're so good a driver, get rid of your seatbelts and airbag as well... They add weight...
I'm sick of hearing all this "I'm better than VSA" BS...

I've never seen a single intelligent argument against VSA...
All arguments seem to revolve around the macho-ego-ignorant-uneducated "I don't need no stinking computer telling me how to drive" crap...

Ah yes, the macho belly youngsters. Sadly ( I must be real crap I guess), my TC is faster than me at AutoX still. Boring as hell, but once the correct amount of slip is found for the given track / conditions (rain and all), there is nothing I can do to catch my TC times with it off.
So yeh, VSA / TC is for wimps, but safer and faster. I'd rather be a wimp thank you.

You must be related to Alain Prost
Please...cut the BS. VSA works period - good driver or not, there are certain situations a good driver will encounter in which he/she WILL lose control of the vehicle.

Keep the "spirited" driving to the track. Defensive driving is the only kind that should be executed on a public road.

I have airbags and seatbelts and like having them in case I **** up. The point is that according to his sig, the op has ****ed up 4 TIMES already (and seems proud of it). Either he's a shitty driver or he makes bad decisions or both. Either way, I'm glad he's not driving around me.
I think stability control is great in a street car, and I would certainly never disable it on the street if I had it.
I have yet to see a street car stability control system that worked perfectly on track, although the one in the new Porsche GT2 is excellent.
But to be proud of the times when you screwed up enough that VSA "saved you"? Idiotic. (A type of idiocy very common to young men, however. With luck, the OP will grow out of it.)

I tend to agree.

the new skyline GTR works great on the track

I had a 2001 for 5 years with no spin outs.....The 2001 was a raw in comparison
to my MY06 but equal in fun.The big plus with the 06 is that when I enter a familar
turn [going home each day] I can go faster. My 01 at 50-55 would feel nervous [back end wise]
so I'd back off especially with 8k + miles on the tires....The 06 takes the turn better and safer.
I feel VSA has made me a better driver[ not on the track] by knowing the car's limits.
Obviously VSA shouldn't be purchased for of testing limits but I am a kid at times.
I love all s2000s but if you had a choice for the same money my bet is that more people
would choose the car with VSA that you can turn off.
Best wishes
