Wow, even free transportation. What other non-sensical info does she need to add before you get a clue? Of course this is a scam.

I saw a similar deal on Cragslist a while back. This time the car was in NY, and I live in AZ. I told him that I refused to use Paypal (That's the only thing he would accept). I told him if he could provide a scan of the title or some other proof of ownership, I would fly out and pay cash.

He stopped responding when he found out that I would only deal in cash.

Sounds fishy but you never know. A friend of mine recently purchased an RV for the cost of transmission repairs: ~$3,000. The woman was just trying to get rid of it since she had just divorced and the RV was basically her ex-husband's.

Be careful. Perform your due diligence.

Yeah as I said, definitely seems too good to be true but if it was a local sale I would jump on it immediately.

I have encountered many of these through autotrader. They always want to use a 3rd party site to deal with the money transfer. If you tell them you will not buy the car until you test drive it they usually stop responding.

My suggestion. NEVER buy a car that you or a friend you trust has not driven/inspected.

These people usually say their car is in a holding facility and their is no way of test driving it. Thats what i always get any way.

Also if you have the vin put it in google see what turns up. I was looking at a very cheap wrx on autotrader and put the vin in google and it brought up another listing on yahoo wich was the real listing some one had just stolen the info about the car put it on autotrader and tried to run one of these scams.

May I have a word with her? lol I wouldn't mind asking how it could be so cheap, I would call her up, tell her she's a scam artist and hang up.
