it'd be funny if he actually got the car for 8k. lol

but yea, seems too good. it's a scam.
tell her you'd like to know the exact location of the car, so you can have your "friend" check it out in person.

If you're seriously considering it, I think you should definitely buy it now. You'll learn a very valuable life lesson for a mere $8300 (or less if you negotiate a bit.)

Jeez this has scam written all over it. C'mon dude this was an easy one.
And I believe that's why I started this thread...

Not only to ask you guys, but to possibly warn others of these kinds of things. You can't blame me though...hell who on this forum could honestly say they wouldn't go pick up a MY06 LBP for $8k right now...sell it or not you'd make out like a bandit.

But don't worry, your voices have all been heard. I really would like to e-mail this person back and tell them where to go

i ran into a similar ad like this one, only it was listed in my hometown. i emailed asking if i can a arrange a time to see the car, she gave me some bs about how she was settling a divorce case and the car was located in alaska. She also mentioned in the email that i should transfer her the money and she would ship the car to me. Yeah right.

It's a shame how many scammers are out there. I had a similar situation a few years ago, I found a Greddy turbo kit for the S2000 on eBay for like $1,000. Again, couldn't believe it so it must not be real. I discovered after looking at the picture for a while that the kit wasn't even for an S2000...it was for a 350Z! The seller was also from Florida and had virtually no sales on eBay before this.

I've heard several times before that most fraud sellers are from Florida and that's actually true. So be careful kids
