Scissor Doors
I read your post. Ease of going back to stock should have nothing to do with the decision. The only car that Lambo doors should be on are Lamborghinis. It is your car and you can do whatever you like to it, but you're probably better off not doing it
I think the real issue is that they're so overplayed. Sorta like aluminum wings. Now, even when I see one one a legitimate track car that IS functional, I can't help but snicker a bit and think to myself "ricer!"
If you like it, do it. It is your car to do what you will, nobody else will be looking at it as much as you. If the mod is reversible, you like it, and have the $$, why not give it a shot. I have seen a few S's in the gallery that have this mod done, so check them out first.
Good luck

In the end, it's YOUR car and YOUR money. Do what makes you feel good. For all we know, maybe you hang out in that part of the Hollywood scene where the lines for style and appearance blur between "good looking" and downright freakazoid.Oh, how about rear sliding minivan doors? Now, THAT would get my attention!
I would not listen to any of these guys. Screw what they think!! Do what you like with your S2k!! Don't let others tell you what will or will not make your image good or bad! I happen to have the doors myself and recieved nothing but compliments on my mod! The girls think it is "sexy and hot!", and the guys think it is "unique" since not many have taken the challenge to install these kits. That is the beauty of them! Something different that not many have to set you aside from the rest of the pack! You do need to find a professional installer that can do the job right or the doors will become a nightmare later on. This is not for everyone (obviously by the reaction) and pretty costly none the less, but IT DOES LOOK NICE on the S2000. Bottom line... I love the doors and have had no problems with them at all. If you like the concept, go for it!
