Hey,

I have a 2005 AP2 Silverstone and am considering removing the
front license plate frame and putting the front bumper plugs in.

The frame has been on since I bought it new in '05 (3 summers
of driving).

My question is does the frame make scratches or marks on the
front bumper that would make it unappealing to take it off and
put the bumper plugs in?

I know I could just take the frame off and look but it's in storage
for at least another month and it's 2 hours away.

I have a MY00 and just took it off this year and there were no scatches. You will need to clean it up. Just try a little quick detailer and a microfiber towel and some TLC and it should look great.

 

You are very lucky, I would consider that a rare occurance. My car brand new from the dealer had scratches on it from the plate frame. I specifically told them upon delivery that I did not want the frame on there because of potential scratches, but they put it on anyway. I did not accept the car and they had to repair it before giving it to me.

I would say after a few years of driving that there would be marks.

 

i bought mine new as a demo and it had scratches under the plate cover. i think honda here in utah (SLC area) is rather negligent though, so it may just be a reflection of that.
