Default Scuff marks on back headrest!

Just purchased a 2002 S2000, silver/black, with 17,000 miles on it for a pretty good deal ($20,000). I love this car!!!! Better than my older (1970's) pair of 911's and a hell of a lot more reliable. Anyhow...the car is in excellent shape BUT I did notice that on the back of the headrest on the driver's side there is one long scuff mark on the silver plastic. I assume it's from taller people who put the seat ALL THE WAY back and it rubs up against the roll bar. Is there any way to fix/touch up the scuff marks...short of ordering new plastic inserts? Any advice is much appreciated...thanks.

Eric

It would be just a easy IMO to just buy the inserts, there not that much.

Eric:

If your S has the OEM Honda security system, it mounts under the drivers seat. The installation requires that you remove the sear and attach some of the alarm components to the bottom of the seat. It is easiest to do if you lay the seat on it's back. I have seen several cars that had the back of the seat scuffed-up when careless dealer mechanics installed the alarm. Sorry, but I don't have a fix.

Ricky, I've got the same thing on the passenger side. Dunno how to fix it, but you can get some padded tape and put it on the roll bar, I think it can be found in black, to preven this from happening. I've got a tall friend who did this over a great period, and I didn't realize it was happening till much later.

I've got the same problem from the previous owner of the car. If anyone has a solution to fixing it I'd like to hear it as well.

I got quoted from hardtopguy.com and handaaccessories.com a few months ago. I'll be purchasing next time I need a load of maintenance stuff.

Thanks everyone for the suggestions. I did go to "hondaautomotiveparts.com" and the plastic seatback cover is $9.71 a piece. Pretty inexpensive so I think I will buy a couple.
