Default Seat rubbing against roll bars!!! Squeak squeak

When the seat is in a somewhat reclined position and is all the way back it rubs against the plastic rollbars behind the seat. It makes an annoying squeak noise, and it put very small scrathes ont he silver around the back of the seat and the rollbar itself!! Anyone can you help!!

Well thats kinda obvious Marcus but like for the passenger seat, it is such a small car that when people get in they automatically move the seat all the way back.

If you let it rub, you will notice it will start scratching and scuffing up the seat/cover. I have heard sometimes HOnda will replace this but better not to take that chance if you dont have to.

If your seats are black, I would suggest that you attach a small piece of the soft part of velcro to the seat, right where it rubs. This should quiet the squeak and protect the seat. I noticed that in the dash of the newer Corvettes they use the velcro fix all over the place.

Good luck!

just tell large passengers that they may not adjust the seat!

My seats also do it. It's more of an annoyance than anything. Of course, it's in bed for the winter, so I won't worry about it for awhile.

I'm with Dave22, my car is only 3 months old and the backs of mine are scuffed like crazy but the good part is....you can't see it unless you ride behind the seats!!! Rub away!!
