Default Seams Separating

Hey guys,

I stripped out my trunk interior after finder water in it the other day, the result of my girlfriend not closing the trunk all the way during a storm. Anyways, when I striped it and wiped it down, I found this on the driver side rear:

What you're looking at is the backside of the car, camera aimed away from the front, facing the rear drivers taillight.

It seems that for no apparent reason the seam sealer is coming loose.

I don't quite know what to make of it. The car handles fine. Should I be worried?

Probably just very light coating in that area and the flexing of the car's panels caused it to crack/cut. I wouldn't be worried about it if your car shows no other signs of being in an accident. That stuff is really easy to take off with a razor blade (I stripped my Civic's interior of sound deadening and trimmed off the excess seam sealant) so I would imagine the sharp edges of the metal would cut through it if the area had a very thin layer.

I bought it used, but it doesn't appear to have been. All the panels are original.
