Do you somtimes find the seat belt buckle gets trapped between your seat and door trim when you or your passenger takes it off and closes the door? It then digs into either the seat or the door trim, marking them or worse still taking a chunk out of the door trim. The cause is that Honda has put the "buckle retaining button" to low down. Okay you can get those nasty looking plastic slide/clips that stop the belt from retracting, but they look dreadfull. I have done something to mine which is far more in keeping with the OEM belt and is simple to do. It means putting an identical retaining button onto the belt, but higher up.Get yourself to your local wreckers and locate either a JAP or GERMAN car with the correct color belt/button to your OEM one, take two small screw drivers and very carefully prise the two halfs of the belt button apart (they are pressed together at the manufactures with a lip on one half holding them tight) You should now have four pieces= 2 buttons. INSTALLATION: get a pointed scewer about the thickness of a match, measure equal distances on each of your belts,so that the buckle will sit higher, puncture the belt and incert the post of one half of the retaining button through the hole, then place the other half over the top and snap together.DONE.(see photo of how higher the new retaining button is)RESULT:easier to get hold of,no rattling/damage to door trim or seat.

The leather is very nice, but I like the idea for the seatbelt more. Thanks Biker1, my door already has a couple of marks on it, I have taken to buckling the belt up, when there is no passenger, just to stop the rattle.
I'm off to the breakers yard....
