Seat bolt chassis thread is cross-threaded-Can anyone recommend a good chaser set?
Well I figured I was in for a project when I could not tighten down my seat a few years ago. It has a nice wobble to it. I couldn't even remove the bolts until I put my impact wrench on it. I ordered new bolts from Honda and picked them up today. They barely turn once before getting stuck so my chassis threads seem to definitely be cross threaded. I've never used a tap/die kit before and don't have one in my tools. I'm hoping a simple chaser will be able to bring it back to life.
Just wondering if anyone had a recommended kit that will include the correct bit I'll need.. I have no idea what the exact specs are. Thanks!

You want to use a thread repair kit, not a tap.
A tap is made to cut new threads in a bare hole. When used to chase threads, it cuts away metal. Weakening the thread. A thread repair kit kinda pushes the metal back into shape. Much less metal cut out.
Both are similar conceptually. A hardened, threaded rod type thing, with flutes cut into the side, is threaded into the hole, using a T handle thing.
Buy a metric thread repair kit. Available Amazon. Match up the tool to use with the bolt. Which hole size and thread pitch.
