Well that is really constructive....
The squeak is probably you seat rubbing the plastic behind them, I still have a old shirt jammed in there to keep mine from doing so. As for the rattle, lords knows since yours is a '08. Surely it isn't the roof latches...

My '08 does that as well. I have pinpointed it to the passenger seat rail, front right. It is on some kind of pin/hinge mechanism that the older cars do not have. Maybe this is for passenger airbag disable weight sensor. I put some oil on it and it is a little quieter. I want to take it in but you may have scared me off. I really want to know the right way to fix this but I think I may just have to live with it or pour on more oil.

He didn't say his car rattled, the second poster did. The squeek could be from the passenger seat being set too far back with the back of the seat touching the rear of the car. Try moving it up. Also the seat belt buckle could be rubbing against the door.

Wow. Just came home from a drive and did a search on this topic. My MY08 is squeaking from underneath the passenger side seat as well and I'm speculating that it's the seat rail or something. Not the most annoying thing, but still it's the fact that it might get worse. Tried to oil it up and will see if this makes a difference.
Definitely not the seatbelt or the seat hitting the back panel.

Mine does too. Sounds like if it's not the airbag sensor area, it's really close. I've taken it to the dealer a few times, and they never seem to get it.

I don't care much about the dozen other rattles the car has--I can trace those down later on--but I don't want to mess around with the airbag sensor just in case.

Anybody solve this one?

Soon or later most of them go away or you don't notice the noise anymore.

Don't worry about it.

MY MY05 seats squeak, and I'm short so it's not them rubbing up against the rear. I think it's the seats themselves - probably where the side bolsters are connected to the back of the seat. It never really bothered me that much, but this thread reminded me that it happens.

Same issue. Dealership said it was some type of plastic ring or something that needed to be replaced. They greased it and it has stopped for now while the part is on order. I crawled down there and took a look at it. The seat rail in the front pass side moves up and down inside the bracket that attaches it to the floor. Whatever it is, it is in there. I will post my results after it is replaced.
