seatbelts rubbing seat... possible rip?
Hmm posted this before db problem with forum... wonder if it was lost or deleted...
So the question I had was about the seat belt... they rub the seat when you put them on and off... so in the crx, they eventually would rub a hole into the seat... does this seem like it'd be a problem with the stook? Has anyone done anything bout this?
thanks,

My seat leather is being replaced because of this. It makes a squeaking sound which is very annoying and has rubbed a burn into the leather. A bit of hair wax (yes, the stuff you put in your hair to look dope) or dubbin works great and stops the squeaking.
I bought a set of those "Powered by Honda" seat belt pads that you see in Civics etc. w/ body kits (you know who I'm talking about, but I'm not up on acceptable names). They keep the belt from rubbing the seat and you can tuck the buckle into it so it won't rub the door. I'll see if I can find a picture of what I'm talking about.

Hmmm.. so you could actually sort of tuck this partially behind the seat so it's not so noticeable? That's where my squeak comes from I'm sure.

It is also very possible that your squeaks come from the little clips behind the seatback on the panel (for the optional bags or something).
That is if you are tall and have the seat all the way to the rear (like myself).
