Some additional ideas. Use penetrating oil, not wWd-40. Get a light and look under the seat and spray all the rail components on both sides. Let sit for 10', go back, and spray again and wait again. Take a screw driver, or metal bar of the right length, and place the end on the rail component attached to the seat. Use a hammer to pound on the screw driver/rod. Use a fair amount of force (but of course don't bend any of the locking fingers) and do this on both sides. This pounding with the penetrating oil should break the rust free..
Good luck.

Thanks for the tips. I'll try penetrating oil--is PB Blaster one of them? And yes, striking the rails seems like a good idea. I'm gonna try that and keep y'all posted.
thanks again!
hopefully, i will need those seat locks!

PB Blaster is a penetrating oil. Just go to any auto parts store and ask them what is the best stuff they have.. BTW, don't hit the RAILS, they're bolted down and won't move. You want to hit the brackets bolted to the SEATS. They're what move. When you hit them, it helps the penetrating oil flow into the crevices, and acts like an impact wrench to break the parts loose..

Ok, I got some penetrating oil, the NAPA brand, and sprayed it liberally on the rails area. I tried hammering carefully at the brackets bolted to the seats but nothing gives, yet. I'll let it sit a day or so, hopefully the hammering worked some things loose and will be able to work its way in there.
thanks again everyone. I'll let you all know.
