I'm speechless... I've had my '02 since last February and I had no idea this compartment existed. Saw it for the first time tonight. I had seen it mentioned, but never inquired. Thanks.

Yep I didnt know about it either until I was behind another S2000 owner when she flipped that piece up..... I was like

then I ran home and told my girlfriend.

 

I didn't know mine existed until I got home. Also I thought the code card to the radio was missing. So I planned to stop by the dealership the next morning, so I read the manual, found the compartment, and ran out to the garage and there it was (code card to the radio) in the secret compartment.

 

I won't mention the owner's name, but I remember during the OBX Run last year when I opened the "secret compartment" and another owner completely freaked out! He ran over to my car asking how I made it.

I laughed and said, you're kidding right? He then asked if it was a new thing for the '02's. I smirked and looked him right in the face. I could see he was sincere, so I took him over to his S2000 and showed him. He laughed out loud and found the Owner's Manual. He then showed me his 2nd Owner's Manual that he ordered because he never could find the original. He was the 2nd owner.
