Just make sure you do the final oil level check when the car is back down on the ground. With filter change, start with 5 qts., the drive it off the ramps, run it for a couple of minutes, check after another 2-3 minutes. If you fill it to the top "X" when it's at that angle on the ramps, you'll have too much.

Good news guys, I did it! I change the oil on Wednesday!
I printed out the instuction in this page and followed it all the way.
oil filter - Mobbil 1 - 105
Mobil 1 - 10W30

But I think I am starting to doubt myself that I did a good job at it!

BAD NEWS - The next morning when I started my car, I heard a cranky noise coming from the engine. But it when away after the car warm up. Later in the afternoon, the same thing, when I start the car in cold it made that "cranky" noise again. Maybe is me! Since I always have my radio on when I turn on the car. And that is why I don't hear it. Or maybe not.

So any advise?
Help?
or the car does make that noise when is cold?

As you've not usually had the radio off, I'm thinking that it's just the naturaly mechanical noises that the car makes till the oil gets properly circulated. If you are worried about it, have a knowledgeable "car guy" listen to it. Have you double checked to make sure that the level has stabilized and is topped up? You need to do this with every oil change as the oil needs to fill the filter and get all the air out of it.

xviper - Yep! I did all that. I think I will take your advise and take it in to the dealer. I was thinking it was due to the filter size since I got the Mobil 1 - 105 instead of the 104 (OEM size).

thanks

Can someone check their car to see if it makes that noise? please!
(Is like a cranky noise.) If you press on the gas it will go away but it will came back when you let it go. And it will go away when egine warms up.

I am going to take it in tomorrow.
