There is one thing I miss about my MR2......The sound of the HK$ BOV blaring off. That and the fact that I could kick most people's ass (if only the car ran long enough to).

US129, how do you like the S so far? Squirly in the rain though, not much different from the MR2.

Quik S2K -- I really like the S2000 -- it's an incredible car. Yes, it seems a little squirrelly in the wet -- got the tail out a couple of times already without trying. I never had problems with the MR2 in the wet, except once when I let the rear tires go a little bald, and got some serious hyroplaning. After that, I bought Dunlop rain tires, and they were great in the rain (but didn't last very long).

thanks guys for all the replys, i really do like my mr2, but i think im growing out of it. drag racing is getting a bit old for me, and maybe if i have a slower drag car, it'll keep me from racing on the streets if i come up on a nice supra or something. and i really do want a newer car that i wont have to worry about smog and all that. i dont plan to really mod the s2k much if i do get one.

i have alot of parts that i havent installed on my mr2 yet that i can still sell, being realistic, i think i can get about 15K after selling the car and all the extra parts. the mr2 has a 97 mr2 motor in it with just some minor boltons. im sure i can get at least 10K for it. the cars actually getting a fresh coat of paint as we speak. a buddy of mine just sold his mr2 for 11.5K with about the same mods minus the motor and got himself an evo.

and yes quik, i am on the mr2board, been on there for a while. i seen you in action before a cmi onces, you probably dont remember.

ill let you guys know how it goes, thanks again.

Yeah, CMI was my bad time. Quik didnt really do that great (plus it was my hubby's friend driving, so he wasnt used to the tranny grind). We did come home with alot of rubber in our "gills" and our back bumper was all black That was the last week our car ran.

Johnny, I'm sure if you get an S, you wont miss the hassle of trying to smog a JDM motor and hiding the Mods. The one thing you will probably miss is the fact after street racing, you can tell the cops it want you since your hood is still cold

Here's a thread with a similar discussion:

A pic of my MR2 & S2k is at the bottom of the thread. I love both equally.
