Selling the S for another type of S
It's one of those "it's more than the sum of it's parts" deals... The whole of the Cayman is much more than just a Boxster with a top. It's engineered as a coupe, with the resulting chassis much more rigid.
At first, the Caymans had bigger/more powerful engines than their respective Boxster, but then the next year of Boxsters had the Cayman engines, so that became a wash.

The boxster's cabin felt shorter while the S2000's cabin feels narrow. At least that is how it felt to me. I was looking at used boxsters that were out of warrantee. The intermediate shaft failures and the main bearing seals made me skip on the porsches in the end. If you are in warrantee when the motor goes (or even a year beyond) porsche will give you the new motor. That only applies to the original owner. I wouldn't mind having one if I could afford new. Enjoy yours
