BS vs. CS - CS has 200% as much chassis rigidity, and 10% stiffer suspension. Lots of stying differences too, aside from the obvious hard top - higner rear fenders, different air intakes, different fog lights. The Boxster is a great looking car, but the Cayman S looks much more exotic to me. It also has a fair amount more cargo capacity.

My Cayman S is much more comfortable than my old S2000's, no comparison. I'm very happy that I traded, even though I loved the S2000 enough to buy 2 of them. CS Handling is quite a bit better, even when I had Konis/GC's on the S2000.

So far, it's been absolutely trouble-free, and the maintenance schedule is a lot easier than the S2000's (though each service will be more expensive).

Honda offers a much better value, but if you want to reward yourself and are willing to pay for a nice upgrade, go for it!

I like the new Z4M coupe. Much better treatment than the old coupe.

My Porsche mechanic says the Boxster is shit. Sorry, but that's what he says.

The Cayman S was my first choice. A nice car indeed. I believe it is quite different from the Boxster, but you can research it yourself.

The s2k, for the money, is a car that just plain interests me. I'm not unhappy so far.

Can you actually feel the increased rigidity? In terms of performance figures, I thought that they were roughly the same with the CS a couple miles faster in the slalom. Also, I here the CS is also louder inside the cabin because the roof. I've driven the '06 BS, not the CS.

I've driven the Boxter S and I must say it's fun to drive. The interior's nicely done and I'm sure it'll make the ladies smile. The driving feel was quite different, more grunt, more torque with less effort makes for effortless driving. The suspension felt softer than my S2000 but not so soft as to be too mushy, it's a good street-tuned level that won't grind your teeth.

The Boxter S won't disappoint, it's a very nice car.

If I want I can get a CS as dealership have one black in stock and I am sure I can strike as good deal as the BS.

But as I said I want an open roadster, and always wanted a BS!

And do not forget where I live: Malta (Europe) (yeah search it out on Google Earth) great long summers and very mild winters. And intend to ferry over to mainland through Sicily/Italy as often as I can.

Your Mechanic may be right but I am not worried as I am on 60 month lease. So whatever shit comes up I am covered.

Don't listen to the haters, the Boxster S is a perfect car IMHO.

It's a better car than the S2000, it brakes, steers and accelerates better plus it's more comfy.

Props for getting the Boxster S over the Cayman as I'm sure it would be nearly impossible to feel any real difference in city-country road driving in terms of ''chassis stiffness''; I always felt the Boxster S had a great chassis, especially for a roadster.

If the S2000's chassis was stiff enough for you, the Boxster S will be the same if not better.

Nice upgrade I'm jealous!

Hey! Thanks a lot!

Your words are much appreciated.

Though I thank you for this forum is the greatest I have ever been. And will still be part of it.

The BS forum is nowhere near this site.

THANKS AGAIN!

Yes - I've autocrossed an '07 BS and my '07 CS back to back, and the CS just felt like it was more solid and surgically precise.

That's not to discount the BS' capabilities, as I said it's a great car, but the CS is easily the best handling car I've ever driven. If having a convertible is important, I certainly wouldn't try to talk you into a CS instead.
