as long as the car is clean title and maintained, you should be fine with any s2k. it def wont fall apart on you, it's a honda! where are you located? i might have one for you in your price range.

If you're asking about HONDA's maintenance, then...

You can find a AP1 with 100K miles for that price. Hard, but it can be done. They are reliable just like any other honda from what I've seen. Just don't launch the car like you're at a drag strip or do donuts. You'll ruin the rearend which isn't cheap. Tires are more expensive (especially R compounds), and they don't last long if you do trackdays.

I am not concerned at all concerned about the cost of maintenance. I have been budgeting for maintenance on an '89 325 xi for the past 4 years and am welcoming the idea of something that might be cheaper. I was just trying to get a general feeling for what this is going to be like.

wilsel- i think im a pretty responsible driver. im not planning on beating on ths car anymore than average. sure i like having some fun through the twisties but drifting and burnouts arent really my deal.

If I sold my '00 today, I'd list it for under 12k. It's in excellent shape mechanically, minus a small yet fixable problem with the roof. I don't know why everyone is thinking this will be a difficult thing to come bye. Old S2000s are NOT worth a lot of money, no matter how great the condition is..

i cant blame them. it seems like there is a huuuuge fluctuation in the market. i mean just looking at autotrader you will see such a huge variety for prices on cars in very similar condition. it doesnt seem like the market has really settled on them. where abouts in ct are you from?

you will see prices all over the place..check carfax...get an 02-03 with some mileage, but it's honda built...you will be fine...i bought mine 4 years old...for 19K out the door..still runs great

I'd sell you mine with 51K on it now, but I have 10K in the engine. good luck. Be patient..you will find what you want.
